Christians are blessed and proud to be grafted to the root (see Romans 11).
In fact, of the nearly 225 million Christians in the United States (http://www.adherents.com/rel_USA.html), between 18 and 84 million count themselves amongst pro-Israel and pro-Jewish supporters, following the Abrahamic promise in Genesis 12:3: “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you, I will curse.”
But how many of those Christians have ever had an opportunity to learn about Judaism from an observant Jew, or about Israel from an Israeli? In fact, how many have ever even met a Jew or an Israeli face to face?
The flip side of this question is no less pressing: How many Jews recognize Pro-Israel and pro-Jewish Christians as allies?
Today, there is a renaissance of national organizations and high-profile leaders who are addressing these issues. But it is taking quite a while for grass-roots members of each community to actually benefit from the trickle-down effects of these initiatives.
To this end, Root Source was founded.
Root Source is an educational resource that provides web-based and especially face-to-face meeting opportunities for Pro-Israel Christians and Orthodox Israeli Jews to discuss topics of common interest and discover their roots.
Our lecturers (we prefer to call them facilitators) will engage your church or group in a guided study of Jewish texts, and follow up with a captivating Question and Answer period with no holds barred.
