As some of you may know, Gidon Ariel, Root Source CEO, is active in other realms of Israeli society that he does not often discuss in the Root Source space.

 

One of these activities is Israeli politics. Gidon is a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s leadership party Likud’s Central Committee. 

 

In parallel to Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, the Jewish People have a “people’s parliament” representing the Jewish People from every country in the world where there is a Jewish community, including Israel. This is the World Zionist Congress (WZC), the representative body of the World Zionist Organization. 

 

Israel sends the largest delegation by far to the WZC, and the Likud’s subdelegation in turn is the largest Israeli one.

 

Shortly before the WZC began last week (October 28, 2025), Gidon was informed of his being elected to the Likud delegation! He participated in the Congress this week, and will hold this position for five years, until the next election.
