One of my heroes and role models, and THE great trailblazer in Jewish-Christian relations, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein died this past Tuesday.
He founded the International Fellowship of Christians of Jews (IFCJ), which has been a great supporter of Jewish immigration, the poor in Israel (not just the Jewish poor), and was a pioneer in the education of Christians about Judaism. Many of the jetways at the Ben Gurion International Airport have IFCJ posters that show Rabbi Eckstein on the walls for every person who embarks and disembarks from the airport.
Tragically, the Rabbi suffered a massive heart attack on Tuesday and died suddenly.
My friend Paul Calvert interviewed Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein on Monday, and was therefore the last person to ever interview him. We are honored to share this 48 minute video with our readers.
