Events are changing quickly, but as of Sunday I had found three different theories of why President Trump continues in the conflict with Iran, despite significant political fallout now and possibly in the upcoming US midterm elections.

Does Trump not care about political considerations? Does he know something we don’t? Or does have a bigger plan than just hobbling the Iranian regime?

Maybe all of the above?
