What are some of the successful related programs or projects that you have done this year and in past years?
I have successfully shared Christian teachings and the gospel and person of the Lord Jesus Christ to millions through our CBN Asia and 700 Club Asia multiweekly TV shows, webcasts, Facebook, telecine specials and print publications. I have also successfully promoted awareness and support for Israel and its culture, history, people and Biblical faith and its special bond with the Philippines through the decades. I have written and distributed over 10,000 pamphlets on the kinship between Filipinos and the Jewish people as “People of the Book” (Bible), and how the Jewish patriarchs, the Holy Scriptures and the God of Israel are the foundation and roots of our Christian faith. We Christians are “grafted in” to Israel and the Jewish people through Jesus Christ.

How did you get to where you are today?
My first job after graduating from the University of the Philippines was to work as copywriter for our national television network GMA 7. After which I worked as speechwriter for President Cory Aquino, and then as Senior Writer and book author for CBN Asia and The 700 Club Asia. I also became founding member of Kol Adonai, a Christian group promoting support for Israel and the Jewish people as the root of our Christian faith. This group was renamed the Jerusalem East Gate Foundation (JEGF), which has maintained a prayer sanctuary on the Mount of Olives for the past 16 years. As members of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus, we have also brought Members of the Knesset to various countries in Asia, including the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Australia and connected them with church and government leaders to promote understanding and support for Israel among Asian nations.

What is your “testimony”?
My father Teodoro Benigno, became Press Secretary for Pres. Cory Aquino and afterwards became a toprated newspaper columnist and TV host in the Philippines. I inherited his gift and passion for writing and wrote scripts for commercial TV shows and popular magazines. I also worked with the Marcos government TV network. My life goal then was to become a respected name in Philippine broadcasting and journalism, to be as successful as my father was. I achieved some amount of success, but after awhile, this seemed empty and meaningless. I searched for something that would give my life eternal value and purpose . That was when a close friend shared that true Christianity was not about rituals and rote prayers, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who gave his life to redeem me from an amoral, directionless and sinful life and restore me to fellowship with God as Creator and Father. I invited Jesus to dwell in my heart and become Lord of my life in 1984. Soon after, I gave up smoking cigarettes, marijuana, and an affair with a married man, by the power of His Spirit within me. Jesus also gave me a love and kinship with Israel and the Jewish people. Thereafter, my passion has been to promote the love and eternal life that only Jesus can give, and drum up support for Israel and the Jews among Filipinos.

What do you think God is doing with regard to Jewish-Christian relations?
I believe that God will break down walls of hostility and mistrust between evangelical Christians and the Jews and make us one eternal family living in peace under Jesus Christ, our Messiah, and Abba, His Father.
