Mr. Uri Steinberg
What is the main focus of your activities today?
We serve as a conduit between Israeli and American entities, helping them to connect with one other, primarily with the faith-based community
How long have you been doing that?
Almost two years, but I have been doing that in previous Israeli Government positions, as a Diplomat in the US, for many years
What are some of the successful related programs or projects that you have done this year and in past years?
I am proud that I am able to play a role in getting Jews and Christian closer. At the moment I am working on a project that addresses this exact issue. I am helping The Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot- who’ll be opening their brand new core exhibition later this year- to reach out to Christian audiences and connecting them to the Museum, and to what is, essentially, part of their story as well.
How did you get to where you are today?
I believe it’s all about who you are. if you care about people and listen to them, they connect to you. this is the bases of it all.
What is your “testimony”?
What do you think God is doing with regard to Jewish-Christian relations?
I am happy to live in a time when there’s an ongoing emphasis on our similarities and not our differences. So much of our shared history has been tainted with hatred and it seems we are witnessing a tectonic shift in the relations between Jews and Christians.
