On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the untimely assassination of Charlie Kirk shocked communities around the world. His loss was felt not only as the passing of a prominent voice but also as the extinguishing of someone deeply committed to open dialogue, faith, and respect.
In the wake of this tragedy, a special commemoration was organized on the Temple Mount, led by Rabbi Yehuda Glick and supported by activists including Gidon Ariel of Root Source and Beyadenu. Attendees and participants gathered to walk the traditional circuit, praying, singing psalms, and sharing personal reflections on Charlie’s life and legacy. The event was recorded and can be viewed at Beyadenu.org.
The purpose of this gathering is more than remembrance. It is a call to peace and tolerance, rooted in the conviction that even in times of profound disagreement, respect and dignity must be preserved. As Gidon Ariel explains in this interview, Charlie Kirk’s life and the values he championed are an inspiration.
In this conversation with Paul Calvert, Gidon Ariel provides insight into the motivations behind the event, its spiritual and communal significance, and what it means to carry forward a legacy of faith, purpose, and dialogue in turbulent times.
